Charlotte's Web (original) (raw)
Charlotte's Web is a children's book by acclaimed American author E. B. White. It tells the story of a spider named Charlotte who lives in a barn, and her efforts to save a pig named Wilbur from being eaten. She convinces people that Wilbur is special by spelling out such things as "Some Pig" in her web above his sty.
Written in White's dry, low-key manner, Charlotte's Web is considered one of the classics of children's literature - enjoyable to adults as well as children.
It was made into an animated movie in 1973.
