Doric Greek is an ancient dialect of the Greek language. It preserves long a where other dialects change it to �, as in ga mat�r "earth mother" (Attic and Koin� g� m�t�r), and preserves original -ti endings that Attic changed to -si (3rd person plural -onti, Attic/Koin� -ousi).
