Formby is a town in Sefton, Merseyside, England.
Formby is almost entirely residential, consisting mainly of 20th century semi-detached and detached housing.
The town is adjoined on the west by sand dunes which have been established as a wildlife reserve for the red squirrel. The beach is popular with day-trippers from Liverpool.
Formby has two railway stations, Formby and Freshfield, on the Liverpool to Southport line.
