Gorz�w Wielkopolski is a city in north-western Poland, on Warta river, with 126,000 inhabitants (1999). Since 1999, it is one of the two capitals of Lubusz Voivodship (the other is Zielona G�ra), previously capital of Gorzow Wielkopolski Voivodship (1975-1998).
Gorz�w is situated away from important traffic routes within a thin populated region. There are connections to Szczecin, Wroclaw and Pila.
