Mezzo soprano (original) (raw)
Mezzo soprano is a term that refers to the vocal range of a singer - in Italian it means "medium soprano". The term mezzo soprano is often used to refer to a female singer who has a range between than of a soprano and a contralto. Some sopranos find that they prefer to modify their range down to mezzo, and some mezzos may find that they adjust their range upwards, depending on their career path, and their vocal technique.
