Roberto Baggio (born February 18, 1967, in Caldogno, Italy) is an Italian football player, considered to be among the best forwards in the world throughout the 1990s.
He played for major Italian teams, such as Fiorentina, Milan and Juventus. Baggio's major World Cup was in 1994 in the United States. After a successful tournament, he missed a penalty in the shoot-out in the final match against Brazil and Brazil went on became the World Cup holder for the fourth time.
He was transferred to Juventus in 1990 for $1919 million , which made him the most expensive player ever at that time.
