Solr�d is a municipality in east Denmark, in the county of Roskilde on the peninsula of Zealand. The municipality covers an area of 40 km², and has a total population of 19,998.
The municipality contains a number of different towns, including Solr�d, which is inland a couple of kilometres, Solr�d Strand which is located on the coast, Jersie Strand and Jersie. The S-Train line runs from central Copenhagen through to the Solr�d Strand Station, which is located in the Solr�d Center, one of the main shopping areas in the municipality, and on to K�ge. The train to Copenhagen takes about half an hour.
There are beautiful beaches along the coast of K�ge Bugt (Bay). Much of Solr�d was developed in the 1970s.
