Guyana

Vegetation description

Mangroves spread along the Atlantic coast in brackish waters. The canopy is at best 20 to 25 m but often is as low as 12 m. The four Caribbean genera_, Rhizophora, Avicennia, Laguncularia_ and Conocarpus, are represented.
