Vegetation description

Along the narrow coastal strip surrounding the central plateau, a few landlocked brackish water ponds and lagoons with the mangrove Bruguiera gymnorrhiza are reported. Rhizophora apiculata is also present with Thespesia populnea as an associated tree species
