The Aviation Tactical Operation Center (AVTOC) is a prototype system of systems which consists of three Rigid Wall Shelters (RWS) mounted on M1097 HMMWVs. Three vehicles contain the necessary C4I equipment for the functional brigade or battalion staff, S1, S2, S3, S4, and the commander to operate in a digitized environment. The majority of equipment for the AVTOC is Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) from other developing systems. The primary types of equipment can be broken into the following categories: Radios/Telephones, Antennas/Masts, Computer Hardware, Intercom System, Large Screen Display, GPS, Generators, and Vehicles/Shelters.
