He first appeared in the 1948film Cry of the City. After being cast in several films, he landed a recurring role as Rama the Indian in the long-running children's television series Buster Brown TV Show with Smilin' Ed McConnell and the Buster Brown Gang, whichlater became Andy's Gang with Andy Devine. While this show was running, Scotti also played the lead in the program Life with Luigi, airing in 1952 and 1953. He was also a regular cast member in To Rome with Love and The Flying Nun; he also appeared as a guest star in The Twilight Zone, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Gilligan's Island, Batman, The Golden Girls, and Who's the Boss?. His film credits include Herbie Rides Again, Herbie Goes Bananas, Von Ryan's Express, Blindfold, The Secret War of Harry Frigg, Captain Newman, M.D., How Sweet It Is, The Godfather, and Get Shorty.
