ISAIAH 18 (original) (raw)

Hello Doves
After reading some of the letters here in five doves I wanted to dig in and dissect chapter 18 of Isaiah for my understanding of the scriptures, and to write to you that which I have come to understand from what I have studied.
Let us break down this Chapter 18 of Isaiah.
1. Who is the Woe' given to?
A land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia: He describes them as sending ambassadors by the sea. What sea?
The only sea near this area is the Red Sea.
Here are 2 maps:
Map #1 (The rivers of Ethiopia)
http://www.mapsofworld.com/ethiopia/ethiopia-river-map.html

Map #2 ( Africa and the Middle East)
http://www.marinefuels.total.com/port-search/search-bygeographical-area/africa-map.html

Map # 3 Empire Assyria
http://www.katapi.org.uk/Maps/EmpireAssyria.htm

When we look at these maps, there are TWO areas we could consider.
1. Kenya: which is beyond the river(s) of Ethiopia, southward.
2. Chaldea which is the ancient name for the area of Turkey, Iran/Elam, Iraq, Syria.
Look at the maps and SEE ye the wings formed by
1. Turkey and Iran
2. South Sudan and Ethiopia
I tend to believe that the Lord is speaking of the ancient land of Chaldea.
These were a people terrible from their beginning. As verse 2) signifies.
Jeremiah 50:10 reads:
And Chaldea shall be a spoil: ALL that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the Lord.
Jeremiah 51:24 reads:
And I will render unto Babylon (and) to ALL the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that THEY have done in Zion (in your sight) saith the Lord.
( consider this also, In MAP #3 we can see the original boundaries of Israel fall beneath this area as well. Could God be speaking of the nation of Israel? after all; she is still partly blinded by God because of her whoredom. She has always gone a whoring after other gods from the beginning.
God called Abram out of the Chaldeans to separate for himself a people. Therefore Abram/Abraham was Chaldean)
And the messengers would go from Ethiopia by the Red sea in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters of the Red sea to a nation meted out and [trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled.]
The great Euphrates river is being spoiled in the last days, dried up!

Verse 3) The Lord addresses (ye) inhabitants of the WORLD, (and) the dwellers on the EARTH., to SEE, WHEN he lifts up an [ensign] on the Mountains; AND WHEN HE [BLOWETH A TRUMPET] to HEAR: (ensign being Jesus Christ)
I believe the whole of the Heaven and the whole of the Earth will hear THIS Trumpet, When Jesus comes in Power and great Glory at the End.

Lets us stop right here and look at this verse :
The World (and) the dwellers of the Earth?
What in the world does he mean?
Jesus said in Matthew 28:20
and, lo, I am with you alway, EVEN UNTO THE END OF THE WORLD.
Considering these two passages, the World to me, would be The Heavens, AND The Earth, as Genesis 1:1 states.
Some quote from other translations this verse as: [even to the end of the AGE]
There is a big difference in an AGE and the end of the WORLD. Just something to consider.
Lets us quote again Isaiah in chapter 48:20.
Go ye forth from Babylon, FLEE ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice singing declare ye, TELL THIS, UTTER IT, EVEN TO THE END OF THE EARTH; say ye, [ The Lord hath redeemed his servant Jacob.]
THIS gives us the time frame.
I believe there will be an End of the Earth, and an End of the World/heavens as we now know it.
Yet we know it is a world without end.
Isaiah 45:17 reads:
But Israel shall be saved [in the Lord] with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end. ( in the Lord as we are saved in the Lord)
Also in Ephesians 3:21 reads:
Unto him be glory[ in the church] by Christ Jesus throughout ALL AGES, world without end. Amen.
SOME might say this is a contradiction, BUT lets read on; shall we?
Revelation 21:1 reads:
And I (John) saw a New Heaven and a New Earth: for the FIRST heaven and the FIRST earth ( were passed away:) and there was No More Sea.
Dear friends; IF we do not have a problem with the 3 servants of the Lord in the furnace of fire, we will not have a problem with how God is going to destroy this FIRST Earth, and FIRST Heaven, with Fire, and the inhabitants who dwell upon it and in heaven, will not be harmed.

Back to Isaiah 18 verse 4)
For the Lord said unto me, ( I will take MY Rest,) I will consider (in my dwelling place) like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
Lets break this down for better understanding:
1. The Lord said I will take My Rest.
Where and when will the Lord take his rest?
Answer: He will take his rest on the 7000th year/Day (1 day as 1000 years 2 Peter 3:8) Where will he rest? Upon the Earth.
Isaiah 66:1 and Acts 7: 49 The Earth is his footstool.

The Saints" ( 1 Corinthians 3:16, Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God DWELLETH in you?)

2. The Lord said I will consider My Dwelling Place. ( his temple/us) LIKE a clear heat upon herbs, and LIKE a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
Heat lessens or weakens the herb and negatively impacts the quality of the herb. When it is hot the dew is less dense and there is more room for water vapor. ( This is where we reflect upon the Lord Jesus letters to the 7 churches in Rev chapters 2 and 3.) Why? Because of verse (5) in Isaiah 18.
Verse 5)
For [afore] The Harvest
WHEN the bud is perfect, AND the sour grape is ripened [in the flower,] he shall both cut off the (sprigs) with PRUNNING HOOKS, and take away and cut down the branches.
1. Afore/ before the harvest/ catching away, when the fullness of the gentiles is come in( when the bud is perfect) he shall (both) cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
( here is where we reflect upon what Jesus said in John chapter 15, and the parable of the wheat and the tares Matthew chapter 13)
Isaiah 18 verse 6)
THEY ( those cut off with pruning hooks and the branches cut down) shall be [Left together] unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth(:) and the fowls shall [summer] upon them, and ALL the beasts of the earth shall [winter] upon them.
Here we reflect upon Revelation Chapter 19 where Jesus comes as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, in power and great glory, and he comes with ten thousands of his saints Jude 1:14 and Revelation 19: 17-21) Armageddon ??
Now Verse 7)
In [that time] shall [the present] be brought unto the Lord of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the Lord of hosts, the mount Zion.
To better understand this verse read ALL 7 chapters of Micah.
1. Hear all ye people, hearken, O earth, and let the Lord God be witness against you, [ the Lord From His Holy Temple]
2. God is coming down out of his place to tread upon the high places of the earth.
3. The Lord will bring an heir unto Mareshah an Assyrian from Lachish, and will deliver A present unto Adullam the glory of Israel.
4. For the transgressions of Israel were found in Lachish Assyria.
5. Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine HORN Iron, and I will make thy hoofs Brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the Lord, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.

I have pondered and studied out what could be " The Present " which is brought unto the Lord [in that time] Re- verse 7, of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a Nation, meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to " The Place " of the Name of the Lord of hosts, The Mount Zion.

Hitherto and from their beginnings, Israel has not [given] unto the Lord their worship and praise. They have always rebelled against the Lord.
Rebelled is mentioned 34/34 times in the KJV
1. Numbers 20: 24
2. Numbers 27:14
3. Deuteronomy 1:26
4. Deuteronomy 1: 43
5. Deuteronomy 9: 23
6. 1 Kings 12:19
7. 2 Chronicles 10:19
8. 2 Chronicles 13: 6
9. 2 Chronicles 36: 13
10. Nehemiah 9:26
11. Psalms 107: 11
12. Isaiah 1:2 Hear O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
13. Isaiah 63: 10
( read if you will this whole chapter, you will be blessed for it)
14: Lamentations1: 18
15. Lamentations 1:20
16. Lamentations 3: 42
17. Ezekiel 2: 3 ( this too is a chapter to be read)
18. Ezekiel 20: 8
19. Ezekiel 20: 21
20. Daniel 9:5 ( again another chapter full of meat)
21. Daniel 9:9
22. Hosea 13: 16 ( another chapter to be read)

22 out of 34 mentions of [rebelled] deal with the children of Israel.
Israel will bring and present to the Lord of hosts their praise unto the Holy One of Israel. Never again will she stray and be stiff necked. She has been redeemed by the Lord Jesus Christ her Messiah.
She will shout HOSANNA, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord !
Jesus said in Matthew 23:39
For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, TILL ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
THIS saying is mentioned 4/4 times in the whole of the scriptures.
1. Matthew 21: 9
2. Matthew 23:39
3. Mark 11:9
4.Luke 13:35
What a glorious day that will be, when we ALL see Jesus, we will sing and shout the victory.
Remember: He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
He that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I WILL NOT blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth "that Jesus is the Son of God?"
For whosoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

The Lord sees the hearts of men, and knows his secret things.
Psalms 139:23,24 KJV
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts. And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Ecclesiastes 12:14 KJV
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

May the Lord Bless You and keep You always
