- 2008.02.14: Renamed as Metropolitan Archdiocese of Bratislava / Bratislavien(sis) (Latin) (lost territory to Diocese of Banská Bystrica and Diocese of Nitra, lost territory to establish Archdiocese of Trnava and gained suffragan sees Trnava and Žilina)
