Named 1995 Jul 12 for the Kochi association of education volunteers [MPC025443].

Companion discovered 2022 Feb 02 by V. Benishek, P. Pravec, and R. Durkee using lightcurve observations from Sopot Observatory, Serbia; Shed of Science South Observatory, Pontotoc, Texas, USA. Announced 2022 Apr 15 [B22b].
