Companion discovered 2003 Jul 26 by W. J. Merline, P. M. Tamblyn, C. R. Chapman, D. Nesvorny, D. D. Durda, C. Dumas, A. D. Storrs, L. M. Close, and F. Menard using Hubble Space Telescope observations from Hubble Space Telescope. Announced 2003 Oct 26 [M03j]. Provisional designation S/2003 (22899) 1.
