Tanak wasn't initially very fast and stalled on stage 5. On second day his speed improved, getting past Latvala and inheriting places when first Neuville and then Ogier hit trouble. After Mikkelsen's puncture, Ott got into lead which he carefully held until the end. |

| Only Hyundai that didn't meet with problems was Paddon. Both Neuville and Mikkelsen were clearly faster initially but former suffered damper failure early on second day while latter had puncture and related transmission trouble couple stages later, leaving Paddon to finish on podium. |

| M-Sport Ford had similar story. Early on Ogier suffered from dust but got lead after Neuville's problems. But he went off soon afterwards and later Evans took took time penalty to help him. All this meant that Suninen (pictured) was fourth, despite cautious run throughout the rally. |

| Once again it was Citroen who fared worst of all. Biggest drama was for Breen, whose car filled with smoke and subsequently caught fire and burned completely. Ostberg stopped with turbo problem and Khalid al-Qassimi (pictured) was team's best placed car at the finish. |
