This d�kegata (and also katakiyaku) actor was active and popular on �saka stages up to 1878. He made his last stage appearance in July 1878, at the Naka no Shibai, where he played the role of the tedai Ch�kur� in the drama "Meisaku Kiriko no Akebono". He died the 1st of September 1879.
