| Ichikawa Sash� II Ichikawa Sash� II | Ichikawa Sakimatsu I | |
| | Born the 5th day of the 11th lunar month of 1872 in Okazaki. Disciple of Ichikawa Sadanji I, he made his debut on stage in Nagoya in February 1883 at the Suehiroza, performing under the name of Ichikawa Sakimatsu I. He became nadai and celebrated the event in September 1906 at the Meijiza, taking the name of Ichikawa Sash� II and performing in a special program commemorating the 2nd anniversary (3rd memorial service) of the passing away of his late master and the sh�mei of his master's son Ichikawa Sadanji II. He played at the Meijiza the roles of Ohara no Manb� and the priest Hakuunb� (the "white cloud bonze") in the dramas "Kenuki" and "Narukami", which were revived in September 1909 and May 1910 by Ichikawa Sadanji II. His second master Ichikawa Sadanji II died the 23rd of February 1940. He followed his second master almost 3 years later as he died the 6th of January 1943. He excelled in bonze and bant� roles and was an important fukeyaku in his latter years. | |

| | Born the 2nd of January 1926 in Nagano Prefecture. He performed in ji shibai during his youth. He became disciple of Ichikawa Omez� IV after WWII and made his debut in �shibai in April 1947 at the Mitsukoshi Gekij�, where he received the name of Ichikawa Ry�nosuke and performed in the drama "Dondoro". He became nadai and celebrated the event in October 1954 at the Kabukiza, where he took the name of Ichikawa Takinoj� III and performed in "Nippon Kenj�ki", "Ninj� Banashi Koban Ichiry�", "Musume D�j�ji", "Ejima Ikushima" and "Dondoro". He finally took the name of Ichikawa Sash� III in February 1979 at the Kabukiza, performing in a special program which celebrated the sh�mei of Ichikawa Sadanji IV; he played the roles of the jijo Utsugi and the menoto Wakana in "Ochikubo Monogatari" and "Kenuki". This talented supporting onnagata actor appeared on stage for the last time in December 2010 at the National Theatre, where he played the role of the nakai Oume in the drama "Gion Ichiriki Jaya". He died the 13th of February 2011. | |

| | Born the 28th of January 1963. He graduated from the Actors Training Center of the National Theatre (ninth graduation) and started his career in April 1988 at the Kabukiza, where he performed in "Kanadehon Ch�shingura". He became a disciple of Ichikawa Sadanji IV in August 1988 and informally received the name of Ichikawa Satojir� while on tour with the Chikamatsuza. He officially received this name of Ichikawa Satojir� in October 1988 at the Kabukiza, performing in "Hitori �kami" and "Gonichi no Iwafuji". He became nadai and celebrated the event in January 2014 at the Shinbashi Enbuj�, where he took the name of Ichikawa Sash� IV and performed in the drama "Kotohoide Mimasu Kagekiyo". He is a promising supporting tachiyaku actor. | |
