October 1958: Opening ceremony of the Shinkabukiza, in the heart of the city of �saka. This modern theater was supposed to be the successor of the �saka Kabukiza. The stars of the kokera otoshi programs were Ichikawa Jukai III, Nakamura Tomij�r� IV, Onoe Baik� VII, Ichimura Uzaemon XVII, Ichikawa Ebiz� IX and Onoe Sh�roku II
May 1960: Nakamura Tokiz� IV celebrated his sh�mei in �saka at the �saka Shinkabukiza.
November 1961: premiere in Kabuki (Kabuki actors + one actess!) at the �saka Shinkabukiza of H�j� Hideji's drama "Korikori Banashi", which was staged with the following casting:

April 1963: Band� Mitsugor� VIII, Band� Minosuke VII and Band� Yasosuke V celebrated their sh�mei in �saka at the �saka Shinkabukiza.
September 1963: Jitsukawa Enjaku III celebrated his sh�mei in �saka at the �saka Shinkabukiza.
June 1965: Nakamura Jakuemon IV, Ichikawa Ennosuke III, Sawamura Tanosuke VI and Ichimura Takenoj� VI celebrated their sh�mei at the �saka Shinkabukiza.
May 1967: Onoe Kikunosuke IV and Onoe Tatsunosuke I celebrated their sh�mei in �saka at the �saka Shinkabukiza.
February 1971: Kataoka Hidekimi took the name of Kataoka Gat� V at the �saka Shinkabukiza, performing in a special program which commemorated the 36th anniversary (37th memorial service) of late Kataoka Nizaemon XI and celebrated the sh�mei of Arashi Tokusabur� VII and the hatsubutai of Kataoka Gat� V's son Kataoka Shinnosuke.
April 1988: Band� Mitsugor� IX and Band� Sh�ch� V celebrated their sh�mei in �saka at the �saka Shinkabukiza; this was also the 30th anniversary of this theater.
February 1995: last Kabuki performances at the Nanba site of the Shinkabukiza; the troupe led by Ichikawa Ennosuke III performed in "Katakiuchi Tengajaya-mura", "Shuzenji Monogatari" and "Yoshitsune Senbon Zakura".
2010: relocation of the Shinkabukiza, from Nanba (Ch�� Ward in �saka) to a mixed-use building in Uehonmachi.
