The new year sogamono drama "Waka Midori Nishiki Soga" was produced by Nakamura Kanzabur� VII and was staged in the 1st lunar month of 1755 in Edo at the Nakamuraza. It was staged with the following casting:

Nakamura Shichisabur� II and Nakamura Denkur� II also played respectively the roles of the Soga brothers' mother and Kobayashi no Asahina.
Others main actors were Tomizawa Tatsuj�r� (Dait�nai, in reality R�ikkan), Sawamura Kij�r� I (Umezawa Kogorobei), Matsushima Moheiji (�isoya Hyakubei) and Miyazaki J�shir� II (the brothel owner Denz�).
This new year drama the sekai of "Kokusen'ya Gassen" and "Tenjiku Tokub�" with the Soga Brothers story.
The opening day was the 2nd day of the 1st lunar month of the 5th year of the H�reki era (1755), which was the 12th of February 1755 in the western calendar.
