He settled in Ky�to in Fall 1772, where he took the name of Ichikawa Ikuz� in November. He went back to Edo in Fall 1780 after 9 seasons spent in Kamigata. He appeared on stage for the last time in the 5th lunar month of 1795, at the Kiriza. He died in Edo the 15th day of the 6th lunar month of 1798 [1]. Ichikawa Ikuz� was a talented supporting actor, who was able to perform a wide range of roles as a katakiyaku, d�kegata or tachiyaku. He was the father of Nakayama Tomisabur� I. He took the name of Matsumoto Komaz� in Nagoya in the 4th lunar month of 1812, then switched back to Ichikawa Somegor� III in �saka in the 7th lunar month of 1812. He took back the name of Matsumoto Komaz� in Ky�to in the 3rd lunar month of 1817, then he switched back to Matsumoto Takej�r� in Ky�to in the 11th lunar month of 1817. This minor tachiyaku actor was recorded for the last time in a hy�banki in 1820.
