| | Dates of birth and death unknown. He was most likely a disciple of Iwai Tojaku and his first stage names were Iwai Ginkichi and Iwai Umez�. Later on, he joined the Band� clan and became both the adopted son of Band� Hikozaemon II and the disciple of Band� Hikosabur� IV. This minor supporting actor died the 24th of the 4th lunar month of 1849 [1]. | |
