Quality Reporting

Reports of bad hrefs, [alternate detection method], external hrefs, bad markup and bad CSS stylesheets every half-hour.

The first of this report lists files which have href links to non-existent files, even if the href is commented out, including image and css files, and absolute links, – i.e., links beginning with "http://www.marxists.org/". All links must be relative, beginning with "../../ etc". If you want to use an absolute link (e.g. to one of our mirrors), then you must have a class="absref"
Forward slashes (/) should be used, not backslashes (\) or double-slashes (//).
In the second part of the report, files with links which begin from “/” – i.e., the root directory – are listed. These will not work on the CD or on our mirrors unless the MIA is in the root directory.
The third part of this report lists files with links to missing anchors.
In the fourth section “orphans” are listed, i.e., files which are not referenced from anywhere in M.I.A.. These are often unlinked by oversight. Temporary files or work-in-progress may be orphans, but should not be loaded on the server, as they obscure files which are orphaned unintentionally.

This report is updated every hour and shows files updated during the preceding two days. It allows us to see objectively and immediately what work is going on and pick up any new files as they are created and detect any changes to files which may have been done by others.
