After the major split in the IMG / Socialist League in 1985 the SL continued publication of Socialist Action tabloid until June 1988. Declining membership of the SL, compounded by a further split of the supporters of the US SWP / Pathfinder tendency in January 1988 meant the paper was no longer viable.

Socialist Action was then re-launched in December of that year in magazine format.

Socialist Action magazine ran bi-monthly and then approiximately quarterly until Autumn 1991- issue 12/13 which also had a supplement on the Soviet economy.

The magazine then relaunched as Socialist Action Review, but in essentially the same format, in June 1992.

We have no’s 1, 3/4 and 5 of SAR, then 7 issues of a volume 2 spanning Jan 1995 to March 1988 and a volume 3 no 1 in December 1999.

It is not known if any further issues were published.

Socialist Action exists to this day and occasionally issues pamphlets in electronic format but has no print publication.
