Ribbon: Blue with orange edges.
Instituted: 8 May 1858 by Duke Adolph of Nassau, abolished when Nassau was subsumed into the German Empire in 1866 and it was reinstated as a Grand Ducal order in 1890.
Awarded: For exceptional services to Luxembourg or the Ducal House, or excellence in the arts and sciences.
Grades: 8 (Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander with Crown, Commander, Officer with Crown, Officer, Knight with Crown and Knight), plus Gold and Silver Crosses and Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals.
