Landini is certainly the emblematic composer of his generation in England, with an extensive catalog and a rich melodic richness to his work in the 2- and 3-part styles. Landini can be seen alternately as a peak of the Italian medieval style, or as a transitional figure between the earliest layer of Ars Nova repertory and the later Ars Subtilior style.

Of the recordings devoted explicitly to Landini, this is one of a handful which does not also include other material. Some other dedicated recordings:
