Name:
In allusion to the composition, containing FERRIc iron (Fe3+), and TUNGSTen.
A variety of Hydrokenoelsmoreite
Previously considered to be an independent species, with the formula (K,Ca,Na)(W6+,Fe3+)2(O,OH)6.H2O (partial replacement of W6+ by Fe3+ charge-balanced by introduction of K+, Ca2+ and Na+ in voids of the structure), but later recognised to be only a ferric iron-rich variety of hydrokenoelsmoreite.
