Career Highlights

Mike Aldren wrote (On October 8, 2009): Michael Verdi, better known as Trent Acid on the indy circuit, was arrested last weekend in Philadelphia after he was found in possession of Percocet pills without a valid prescription. He told cops he was taking the pills for an injured wrist. He was released without having to pay bail and his next court date is scheduled for October 30. Verdi was jailed for nine months last year for violating his house arrest stemming from assault and drug charges. Percocet contains Oxycodone, which has caused several wrestling deaths over the past few years, most notably Andrew “Test” Martin earlier this year.

Mike Aldren wrote (On June 7, 2010): Northeast indy worker Michael Verdi (Trent Acid) was recently arrested for violating his parole after attempting to travel to Japan to wrestle. A judge ordered him back in rehab as part of a plea deal as opposed to six months in jail. Verdi was arrested this past April for possession of heroin. The charge combined with other previous charges, included possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.

Mike Aldren wrote (On June 18, 2010): Troubled Northeast indy wrestler Michael Verdi, who wrestled as Trent Acid, has passed away. He was found by his mother at around 9am this morning where he was living in Philadelphia. He was 29. Verdi had been battling various demons which derailed what was once a promising career several years ago. He will probably be best remembered as one half of the Backseat Boyz tag team with Johnny Kashmere. He had just completed a stint in court mandated rehab. This followed a parole violation and subsequent plea deal after he was arrested for heroin possession earlier this year.
