BACKSTAGE: Batista & Christy Hemme + Eric Bischoff.. The show opens with a shot of Batista flirting with Christy Hemme with his World belt over his shoulder..Eric Bischoff shows up and Congratulates Batista on his match against Triple H last night at Backlash..Eric Bischoff announces a "Gold Rush Tournament" on RAW to see who will face Batista next..Eric Bischoff gives Batista the night off, but Batista says he wants to hang around and have a match..Batista suggests since Triple H got to fight JR, then he would like a match with Eric Bischoff..Eric Bischoff freaks out and Batista laughs and says maybe Eric Bischoff needs the night off.. GOLD RUSH TOURNAMENT MATCH: Christian w/Tyson Tomko vs Kane w/Lita (on crutch).. Dispite the brutality in the ring, chants of "We Want Matt!" could be heard in the stands..Kane won the match with a "Slam Dunk Choke Slam" to advance in the Tournament..After the match, Tyson Tomko attacked Kane but he got chokeslammed too! BACKSTAGE: Christian + Ric Flair.. Christian stumbles around backstage trying to catch his breath when he bumped into Ric Flair..Ric Flair cut an embarassing promo (by his standards) kissing saying Triple H is going to win the Tournament.. IN THE RING: Muhammad Hassan & Khosrow Daivari.. Muhammad Hassan said he is there to not let this injustice pass without a confrontation..Muhammad Hassan complained about being left out of the Gold Rush Tournament, just like he was left out of WM21!Muhammad Hassan says that what happened to him at Backlash was a travesty and he blames HBK, Hogan and the fans..Muhammad Hassan says there is one more person who needs to be held accountable, then he turns towards Daivari!Muhammad Hassan says he could have become an ICON and Khosrow Daivari BLEW IT -- then he slaps Daivari's face!Muhammad Hassan repeatedly kicked Daivari while he was down as the fans chanted for Hogan..Muhammad Hassan departed the ring as Daivari remained loyal by stumbling and limping behind him.. MATCH: Viscera vs Simon Dean.. Viscera comes out and says he proves how physical he can be, and he also proved his appetite for love..Viscera then turned towards Lilian Garcia and said he likes it spicey and wants to go south of the border..Simon Dean (never so glad to see him) came out and said women want greek gods like him..Simon Dean offers to help Viscera by giving him a lifetime supply of his Simon System products..Viscera trabbed Simon Dean by the throat and began the match, absolutely destroying Dean quickly..Viscera says he wants Lilian Garcia and all the women of the world to know that he's back on the market.. BACKSTAGE: Stacy Keibler & Candice Michelle + Eric Bischoff + Triple H.. Eric Bischoff 'talks' to Stacy & Candice about Stacy's photoshoot in STUFF Magazine (cheap plugs)..Eric Bischoff walks into his office and finds Triple H, who was furious of Bischoff's Gold Rush Tournament..Triple H says that he deserves the World title and blames the incompetent referees for his loss at Backlash..Triple H demands another rematch TONIGHT, and adds that Eric Bischoff owes him that..Eric Bischoff says Triple H is lucky that he's even in the Tournament after assaulting the referee last night..Eric Bischoff says that they're going to do this HIS way this time..Triple H says it doesn't matter what he does, he will regain the title and be World Champion again.. INTERVIEW: Maria Kanellis & Shelton Benjamin.. Shelton Benjamin says he is not nervous about the Gold Rush Tournament and not knowing his opponent..Chris Jericho showed up and said Shelton Benjamin beat him fair-and-square and has earned his respect..Chris Jericho says that he HAS to win the Gold Rush Tournament because he hasn't had a 1-on-1 title shot in 3 years!Shelton Benjamin remarks that he respects that and wishes Jericho the best of luck with a handshake..GOLD RUSH TOURNAMENT MATCH: Shelton Benjamin vs Shawn Michaels.. Shelton Benjamin scored a series of near-falls during this extremely intriguing match..Shelton Benjamin went for a spring-board move but got knocked out by a superkick from HBK for the win!Shawn Michaels stuck around and helped the young superstar to his feet out of respect.. INTERVIEW: Todd Grisham & Edge.. Todd Grisham asks why Edge is even in the Gold Rush Tournament when he already has the "Money In The Bank"..Edge explains that not even Batista can withstand two title matches against him..Todd Grisham says that if Edge doesn't use his title shot it may be useless if he is drafted to Smackdown!..Edge leaves the interview area and approaches Victoria and Lita saying "What are you looking at?".. TAG TITLE MATCH: The SuperHeros defeated La Resistance to retain..GOLD RUSH TOURNAMENT MATCH: Edge vs Chris Jericho.. Triple H gave Chris Benoit a forearm smash to the back of the head, sending him falling out of the ring..Chris Benoit collapsed outside the ring with a truly scarry glazed-over look on his face as they went to break..The referee was knocked out and Ric Flair interfered and they double-teamed Chris Benoit..Batista ran down to make the save and destroy Ric Flair and give the spinebuster to Triple H!Batista left the ring and Chris Benoit locked Triple H into the Sharp-shooter.......Triple H crawled to the ropes but Batista pulled the rope back so Triple H couldn't grab it..Triple H eventually succombed to the Submission and tapped out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BONUS MATCH: Shawn Michaels & Batista defeated Triple H & Edge.. And that's a wrap folks..
