The duo met while in their teens and began recording demos before joining a group named 'Darlin'. When the group broke, the duo became 'Daft Punk' and worked on their love of house music and experimental technologies incorporated into their music. Daft Punk's appearance in robot masks developed first from shyness and then to represent the merging of humans and machines. March 25: Daft Punk released Homework(available for download at iTunes and Amazon-mp3). The LP hit the Top 10 in Belgium, France, New Zealand, and the UK.
