Josh Groban was born in California on February 27, 1981. With a deep baritone voice, Josh filled a void in the world of music that had been saturated by boy bands and pop starlets.

By his late teens, Josh had been studying with David Foster which led to an invitation to perform at the inauguration for California Governor Gray Davis.

Groban filled in for Andrea Bocelli at the rehearsals for the Grammy Awards dueting with Celine Dion on "The Prayer."

A record deal with Warner Music soon followed and Josh began working on his debut LP with David Foster.

Josh made his acting debut on Ally McBeal.

Josh appeared on the soundtrack for A.I. - Artificial Intelligence with a duet with Lara Fabian - "For Always."

Josh released his debut LP, Josh Groban.

Josh reprised his role of Malcom Wyatt on Ally McBeal.

Josh performed with Charlotte Church at the Winter Olympics closing ceremony.

Josh Groban was certified gold.

Josh Groban was certified platinum.

Josh could be heard dueting withBarbra Streisand on her LP Duets with the track "All I Know Of Love."

Josh performed as part of the benefit show Tsunami Aid: A Concert Of Hope on NBC.

Josh was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance ("You Raise Me Up").

The single "You Raise Me Up" was certified gold.

On July 2nd, Josh performed in Philadelphia as part of the worldwide Live 8 concerts. The mission of the concerts was to raise awareness of the on-going poverty in Africa and to pressure the G8 leaders to take action by doubling aid, canceling debt, and delivering trade justice for Africa.

Josh could be heard on the Hurricane Relief: Come Together Nowcompilation with a live version of "Alla Luce Del Sole."

Live At The Greek was certified gold.
