The 6-man group Linkin Park hails from Los Angeles. Linkin Park's mix of heavy metal, alternative rock and hip-hop is more than evident on their aptly-titled debut LP - Hybrid Theory. The band began in 1996 with Shinoda and Delson first recording material together. As Linkin Park became a 6-man band (after the brief departure of Phoenix), they signed with Warner Bros. Records and began work on their 1st LP.
The single "One Step Closer" became a hit on rock and alternative radio stations.
Linkin Park released their debut LP - Hybrid Theory.
