T-Pain was born Fhameem Najm in Florida. His music talent's began at a young age when he turned his bedroom into a mini music studio with a keyboard, beat machine, and a recorder to create beats to rap over. T-Pain originally began with the rap group 'Nappy Headz' in the early 2000s. After the group faded, T-Pain focused on his individual sound, started his own label 'Hard & B,' and got noticed by Akon who signed him to his Konvict Music label.
