This is Donald Kingsbury's second Prometheus win, following a win in 2002 for Psychohistorical Crisis; this year's win for Courtship Rite follows four previous nominations in the "hall of fame" category for this work, in 2009, 2013, 2014, and 2015; Prometheus rules, like Mythopoeic rules, allow some workw to be nominated year after year. Neal Stephenson has won two previous Prometheus Awards, out of a total 7 nominations, for The System of the World in 2005, and Cryptonomicon, as a Hall of Fame winner, in 2013.
