Ronnie O'Sullivan won his fourth major title of the season and the 13th of his career with a tremendous display of snooker against reigning world champion Ken Doherty. He took off to lead 4-0 and never looked back after that, winning the match 9-3. Doherty's only consolation was that he grabbed the high-break prize of the tournament with a 129 in the fifth frame.
Ronnie was later stripped of his title after failing a drug test. Doherty was then awarded the trophy. More on this on the News & Results page.
