Bachelor of science in aeronautical engineering, 1949; master of science in aeronautical engineering from University of Washington, 1950; 1958 selected for the X-15 Program (14 flights); later he worked for North American Aviation; 1977 - January 1993 Staff Member, Committee on Science, Space and Technology from US-House of Representatives; author of a book about the X 15 program; died in the crash of his air plane Cessna 210A.
