This Estuarine Stonefish was hiding about 2 meters from the beach, where tourists were bathing.

Dieser Warzen-Steinfisch lag auf Sand nur wenige Meter vom Strand entfernt, wo Turisten badeten.

Stonefishes are the masters of camouflage - usually they are completely covered with mud and sand and nearly can't be seen.
The rays on the dorsal ridge are highly poisonous!

Steinfische sind unschlagbar mit ihrem Tarnverhalten. Normalerweise sind sie fast ganz mit Sand bedeckt und können so praktisch gar nicht gefunden werden.
Die Rückenstrahlen sind hoch giftig!
