"Yichus" [family lineage] has always been an important consideration when searching for the proper wife, but why is Avraham so insistent that his 'chosen' son marry specifically a descendant of his brother Nachor? To answer this question, this week's shiur analyzes the entire unit of 'parshiot' that tell the story of Avraham Avinu, showing how [and why] they unfold under a more general discussion of "toldot Terach" [the offspring of Terach]. Despite its 'technical' nature of this analysis, we'll try to find some thematic significance as well.
