"It is hoped that my personal scribbling, snippets, and musings will refresh events and experiences in others, both humorous and historical".
Bruce Martin, his wife, and children are native to the Harris County, Texas area. He attended HISD public schools, the University of Houston, and began a career with companies in the manufacturing industry. In 1974, a career change and relocation to Colorado opened doors in the engineering/construction field and later with owner/operator firms associated with petrochemicals, mining, and power plants. In addition to Texas and Colorado, the family has lived in Calgary (Alberta), West Virginia, Utah, and now Kansas. Business travels and project assignments, along with professional association involvement and personal vacations, has provided travel opportunity in all States of the US and most of Canada's Provinces. Cruises and tours allowed enjoyment in visiting several European countries, Islands of the Caribbean, and port cities from Costa Rica to California. Architecture, cultures, lifestyles, landscapes, and local foods are an attraction.
In business, his writings were for publication in Technical Journals [AACE, Intl; Project Management Institute; the UK Association of Cost Engineers] and Marcel-Dekker texts. Now retired, he has become a "rambling reminiscer" of his Texas childhood and that of family and friends in adult life.
