History in a Pecan Shell
Pin Hook, Texas, about 3.5 SE of Faulkner is sometimes confused with Faulkner. The community never had a post office.
Storekeeper Ira Faulkner, the town�s namesake also ran a sawmill here in the early years of the 20th Century.
Early population figures aren�t available, and the fledgling town dropped into a decline after WWII. Faulkner was left off county maps in the 1980s but the 2000 census managed to find 48 people to qualify as residents.
