History in a Pecan Shell
Ragtown started appearing on maps after 1900 although it is thought to have been settled before that date. It peaked in the 1930s with around fifty residents served by more than one store and a sawmill.
The population fell to 30 in the mid 1960s and remained at 25 for the 2000 census.
