Cotton Patch, Texas. (original) (raw)
History in a Pecan Shell
Cotton Patch dates from the turn of the 20th century when German cotton farmers settled here and land was donated (1914) for a common school. Although early population figures are unavailable and a town center never developed, there was enough of a population for the community to appear on county maps (but not on the state map).
No cemetery is shown for Cotton Patch although it still appeared on the TxDoT DeWitt county map of 1999.
