Krebsville, Texas, Austin County. (original) (raw)

History on a Pinhead
Named after the nearby creek of the same name, both are said to be named from Hermann Krebs, local man who served in the 4th Regiment of the Texas cavalry during the Civil War. Population figures and reports on the communitys history are unavailable.
Photographers Note:
This is another small place of the type that I love to track down. There are no specific buildings now to identify it as a town, however the road signs identify it as such. It now is what they call a dispersed community of a few scattered residences and farm buildings. -
