Bulah, Texas, East Texas Ghost Town. (original) (raw)

History in a Pecan Shell
This predominantly black community was settled sometime prior to 1900. The 1940 census reported a population of 25 people who had their own school and a union church.
After WWII most residents left, but the school remains and is still used for reunions.
