History on a Pinhead
The information in the Handbook of Texas only says that Ford's Corner a rural residential community and that the community probably came into being in the early 1900s. A general store was the primary business for decades, but today it exists as a dispersed community.

I read your story about Ford's Corner. Do you happen to know if Herman Fuller ran that store at one time? Thanks, Patti Fuller Hand, March 17, 2021 - Subject: Bonnie and Clyde
My dad, Mervis Lowery spent about half a day with a gentleman at this station who told a very interesting story about the capture/killing of Bonnie and Clyde. According to him, several lawmen used his corner as a staging area. His story might make a nice sidebar to the legends. I am a huge fan of your site and almost dread checking out new stories because once I hit your site, I get "sucked in" and several hours will zip by before I can force myself to log off and finish my chores! Please please keep up the good work. I grew up in Etoile and am a history lover, especially of anything East Texas related. Warmest regards - Tuawana Lowery, July 07, 2013
