History on a Pinhead

Early settler Richard B. Hubbard is thought to be the town's namesake and cemetery tombstones show dates as early as 1835. Depression-era maps show a school, church, and cemetery however no population figures were available until 1990, when 269 people were reported - the same number in use today.
