The Misadventures of Wrong-Way Corrigan by Maggie Van Ostrand Famed Douglas Corrigan tried for years to get permission to fly from New York to Dublin. "No," said aviation officials, "it's not safe..., we give you permission to fly from New York to California." Corrigan finally took off in heavy fog.... 28 hours later, he arrived in Dublin.
