Left high school year before graduating to join Marines in WWII.

After war worked for Civil Service at Red River Arsenal, New Boston, Texas and Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama. Total about 7 years.

Went into radio as announcer in 1953 until retirement in 1991.Worked in San Antonio, Seattle, New Orleans, Omaha, and Houston among other cities.

Years of speaking ad-lib on radio seemed to help in creative writing style. Also writing thousands of radio commercials.

Hobbies: Golf, singing, working crossword puzzles, and playing with the computer.

Father of two sons and a daughter.
