"The 1922 Jackson County jail still stands northwest of the courthouse behind the Texana Museum. According to the Texas State Travel Guide, the building now houses the Otto Lawrence Children's Museum, but I saw no signs indicating the museum during my visit." - Terry Jeanson, July, 2008
