History on a Pinhead

This town is shown on several maps, although there is no history available from our usual sources.

It�s possible that it was named in homage to the athlete Jim Thorpe, but without a date, it would be hard to match the town with the man (who did have a town in Pennsylvania named after him (posthumously).

A second Thorpe, Texas is found in NW Schleicher County.
